TIGERPOLO Awards Terra Nova Sports Award Night

Ian Adams and Tyler Fandel garnered MVP awards Wednesday Night, December 5th at the Terra Nova Sports Awards Night for High School Water Polo. Ian Adams (nickname "Energizer Bunny" 'cuz he just keeps going) was the unanimous choice for varsity most valuable player, and Tyler Fandel, a newcomer to High School Water Polo garnered the Frosh/Soph MVP Award.

Ryan Kochevar was awarded the "Most Improved Player" for the Varsity and Joe Petty received the "Most Improved" award for the Terra Nova High School Water Polo Frosh/Soph team. Tyler Fandel had the distinction of being chosen as an "All League" player and achieving the most money earned for the "Swimathon" - a whopping $404.02. Coach Auleb was a little baffled by the "2 cents", but settled for the explanation that someone "threw in their two cents."

Other awards included the Terra Nova High School Water Polo "TIGERPOLO Courage Award" given to the players that played inspite of great personal adversity and set examples of what commitment to the sport means. There was a tie in this category with David Jones and Brian Redfield each receiving awards.
