"Practice Pays Off !"

"Winning Is The Science Of Being Totally Prepared" - George Allen

All Swimmers and Parents of Swimmers
George Allen one of the all-time winning Coaches of Rams and the Redskins once said “Winning is the science of being totally prepared.” - How true that proved to be this last Thursday as you competed with Capuchino.

As Coaches, we know how hard it is to practice day in and day out, but we also know that one of the other sayings of Coach Allen is very true as well – “The tougher the job, the greater the reward”. You all did a wonderful job against Capuchino. We are very proud of the Frosh/Soph Girls team, who came together in a chaotic time. As you see, all of your practice has paid off. You are all getting stronger and more experienced. Keep up the hard work and dedication; together we will stop for nothing.

Let us all thank Perin Belaway for her organization and devotion to our team. Without her we would not have had a delicious pasta dinner or the pool deck cleaned. Anna and Dominic, without your help we would all be swimming in last week's storm debris. You two did a great job cleaning the pool.

We are very proud of heading such a wonderful group of people. You all are amazing.. Please see the importance of eating a nutritious meal on the day of the swim meet with lots of carbohydrates and protein and drinking more than 64oz of water onfy.de. Remember, we work hard, we play hard. Soon all of the PAL will fear the roar of TIGERS! - Watch out SSF - I don’t think they will know what a fierce team you are, the work that you put into practice and enthusiasm and team spirit that supports all of our swimmers.

Don't Forget!

Practices run Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm till 5:00 pm and on Saturday Mornings from 9:00 am till 11:00 am. In order to compete at meets, every swimmer will make 5 out of the 6 practices every week. Saturday mornings are an opportunity to make up for a missed practice during the week. In addition to being make-up days, Saturdays provide opportunities to hold clinics and will also allow for alternative forms of training, such as dry-land work, videotaping and team building activities. A swimmer will not be allowed to participate in competition if he or she has missed two or more practices out of the previous 6 leading up to a meet or if he or she misses the practice before a meet.

Thanks for your support
